HeLA ART COLLECTIVE

Experiential | Media | Influencer & Talent

how doES HBO raise awareness for a new documentary while highlighting the importance of this unknown monumental historical figure?

Working with Oprah, HBO and seven renown artists, we launched the 'HeLa Project," a multi-city touring art collective and exhibition. The tour Included major musems (see list below). This touring immersive showcase was designed to honor Henrietta Lacks and her monumental contribution to medical science through her HeLa cells, which have been instrumental in numerous medical breakthroughs. Our exhibition included a mix of visual art, multimedia installations and new music, featuring original artworks and interactive educational displays that explored the scientific and personal legacy of Lacks. The project debuted in Baltimore and traveled to New York City, Atlanta, and Washington D.C., engaging audiences with Lacks' story and highlighting her impact on modern medicine through a variety of artistic expressions and historical contexts.
